Tonight was another one of those nights we just didn't feel like cooking...

Photo #274
I got a pair of Chucks this week - part of the Boxing Week shopping spree my wife and I went on. I've always liked the cool, nostalgic look of All Stars, but I don't recall ever owning a pair before now. Maybe when I was a kid but, really, who can remember every pair of shoes in one's lifetime? I went with the low cut oxfords instead of the hi-tops.
I haven't had too many great photo opportunities lately, so in times like this everything becomes blog worthy.

During our 2008 trip to Hawaii we visited Pearl Harbor, and while I could post a picture of the Battleship Missouri or the USS Arizona Memorial, I've decided to share a couple of photos of a friend we made while having lunch...
It's a zebra dove, and yes he has a deformed foot, but he's adapted and was very social.
Or perhaps he just wanted our Doritos...

All set for a party...

We decided to go ahead with our houewarming party this evening. It will be a welcome distraction from all the sadness and shock over our recent family tragedy to have a few good friends over for a few drinks, some laughs and some good music.

Drunken Jenga. Another highlight from this past weekend...
I wasn't actually playing. I was just a spectator.

I needed a new pair of shoes and I found these ones today. I've never owned a pair of Sketchers before. I like them. I hope they can handle a lot of walking...

It's so nice to be able to use our grill again! Mmmmm, hot dogs...
Look closely and you can see the top of the grill through the blinds. My original idea was to get a picture of the hot dogs cooking on the grill, but then I forgot and by the time I remembered they were already in the buns and on the plates. Megan couldn't wait to take a bite. :)
